Replacement Frame Cradles for a Discontinued Rhode Gear Bike Rack with 1-1/4 in Diameter Arms

Hi, I have a Rhode Gear Pro - a hitch mounted 2 bike rack purchased about 10 years ago. Im looking for 2 cradles. The reason Im writing is that your description of RG8890084 mentions an inner diameter of 1inch while my posts measures 1.25. Otherwise the cradles I have looks identical to your pictures. Will the RG8890084 work in my situation or is there another cradle available? Thanks!

I went and pulled a Replacement Cradle # RG8890084 from our warehouse to measure the diameter of the hole and determined that it would only fit on a 1 inch diameter arm. So if your arms are 1-1/4 inches in diameter you would need something different.

The Hollywood Racks Replacement Cradles # HR755AS are designed to fit Hollywood Rack bike racks with 1-1/4 inch diameter rack arms, but since you have 1-1/4 inch arms they should work well for you too.

For the Rhode Gear Super Shuttle you can use the replacement cradle, #RG8890084. These are sold in quantities of one. To replace all of the cradles on a 2 bike rack, you would need 4 cradles. The Super Shuttle has a capacity of 90 pounds. If the…

Yes, on a two-arm bike carrier you will need 2 cradles per bike, one on each arm. The cradles hold the bike frame and protect it from the metallic parts of the bike carrier.
