Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation for a 2013 Toyota Highlander

Hello, I want to know what is the difference between: 118449 Tow Ready T-1 T-Connector - 4 Wire - Modu-Lite AND 56217 CURT T-Connector - Surface Mount Technology - 4 Wire Witch one id better for Toyota Highlander 2013? Thanks

The Curt Harness part # C56217 and the Tow Ready Harness part # 118449 that you referenced are two different brands version of the same wiring harness. Both would install the exact same and would work well on your 2013 Toyota Highlander.

I am partial to the Curt unit though since it uses a more modern circuit board (surface mount vs. diodes) and can handle a slightly higher amperage draw at 3 amps per stop/turn light circuit and 6 amps per tail light circuit vs. the Tow Ready that can do 2.1 amps per stop/turn circuit and 5.6 amps per tail light circuit.

I attached an install video for the Tow Ready harness that would be the same for the Curt harness as well.
