Extended Ball Mount For Class A RV To Pull a Tow Dolly With Van
Question:
I have class A RV with class 3 hitch looking to extend hitch out from bumper to utilize patriot hitch to pull tow dolly and van. Tongue weight dolly 50 lbs. Curb weight van 3800lbs.

Expert Reply:
Rather than using an Extension # e88YR you might consider using a extended ball mount. We have a couple different lengths depending on how much distance you will need to your Dolly # DM9713093. The distances listed below are from the center of the hitch pin to the center of the hole for mounting a hitch ball.
15-3/4" Ball Mount # 80232
13" Ball Mount # C45270
11" Ball Mount # 40345
If you can provide me with some more information about the length you need and what size ball your dolly takes along with the drop or rise you need to keep the dolly level I can help you determine exactly what you will need Tom.

2"ball at least 7" from rear of shank the drop is 10-11" distance bottom of receiver on RV 29" dolly needs about 16-18" off ground for hydraulic brake to work. Thanks for responding
