Westin Diamondstep Bumper For A 1989 Jeep Comanche

I am buying this rear bumper for a 1989 Jeep Comanche. In addition to the bumper, do I need to buy any additional parts, installation kit to be able to install on the truck. The current rear bumper on the truck is the original and there have not been any modifications to the truck? Thank you,

Hey Stephen. In addition to the Westin Fey Diamondstep Rear Bumper, you will also need the Custom Installation Kit # 97900. This kit will contain all of the brackets and hardware needed to install the bumper.

For a 1989 Jeep Comanche, the correct Westin Diamondstep bumper will be as follows:

- Westin Fey Diamondstep Rear Bumper - Black Powder Coated Steel # 63000

I was leaning toward the Surestep bumper, item # 61001. Does the installation kit # 97900 work for that bumper too?

@Stephen It does not. The Surestep bumper # 61001 is not confirmed to fit the 1989 Jeep Comanche. Per Westin, the # 61001 will fit the following vehicles: 1983-1993 Dodge Ram 50 1988-1995 Isuzu Pickup 1983-1996 Mitsubishi Mighty Max 1980-1994 Toyota Pickup

Okay, so the Westin Fey Diamondstep # 63000 is the the only one that is confirmed to fit, correct?

@Stephen The only two bumpers confirmed for the '89 Comanche are the # 63000 which is black powder coated steel, or the # 73000 which is chrome plated steel. Both will use the same # 97900 mounting kit.
