Trunnion Bars for Use in Reese Dual Cam and Dual Cam High Performance Weight Distribution Systems

Hi, Do you know if the Reese Dual Cam Classic system requires different trunnion bars than the Dual Cam HP system? Im thinking I have something mixed up and might need longer bars.

The trunnion-style spring bars used in Reese Dual Cam weight distribution systems, both the standard dual cam and high-performance dual cam systems, are the same length. Trunnion spring bars are selected not based on length but by weight capacity.
Weight distribution systems for a trailer should be selected based on the trailer's fully-loaded as-towed tongue weight. It is important to proper performance that the spring bars used have the correct amount of tension to provide the proper weight distribution function. If rated too light for the trailer's actual weight they will not deliver the weight distribution required; if rated too heavy for the trailer the resulting ride quality will suffer and handling may be erratic.
If your spring bars are rated appropriately for the actual fully-loaded tongue weight of your trailer but they appear too long or too short to properly fit the cams, then it is likely that you need to reposition the lift brackets to a different spot on the trailer's frame.
