My car is wired 4 way flat. Can I use an adapter and still be able to charge camper battery,

Yes, you could use the Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole Vehicle End Trailer Connector # 30717 to plug in to your 4-way and charge your camper battery, but you are going to need to run the black wire of the # 30717 through a circuit breaker like part # PK54540 to the positive post of your vehicle battery.
You would want to use 10 gauge wire like our part # 10-1-1 that is sold by the foot.
