Where on Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System is Info to Determine Capacity
Question:
I have an Equalizer hitch system that came with the trailer that I bought from the original owner. I have always assumed it was appropriate for the trailer because the dealer set it up. Is there some way for me to easily tell which system I have from the hitch itself? We had similar tow vehicles and I had the level checked after buying but no one really looked at it see if it was actually size appropriate.

The main differences between the Equal-i-zer WD systems is the spring bars used. If you can find the label on the spring bars you should find a part number or a tongue weight rating listed. For example if you find 90-01-1299 the bars are our part number # EQ90-01-1299 which have a tongue weight capacity of 1200 lbs. Or you could contact the guy you bought the trailer from to see if he remembers.
