Do GasStop Propane Gauges Automatically Switch Over To The Other Tank

Question:

I plan to use this on a remote off the grid cabin. It will be mounted outside of the cabin of course and feed a 5 port distribution Block with gas shutoff valves on the inside of the cabin. The gas lines all black iron will run through the floor on the inside of the cabin and then run to each device up through the floor with a sediment trap and additional gas shutoff valve. Do you see any issue with using the valve in this application? Does this switch to the full tank automatically, or do you physically have to turn a switch /valve after the first tank is spent?

The manufacturer's intended use for the GasStop Emergency Propane Shut-Off Gauges w 18" Hoses and Automatic Changeover Regulator # GS69FR is for RV's only so while it would work you'd be taking on all liability if there was an issue. This regulator has a 200,000btu rating so it's also important to determine your cabin's demand. You'll likely be fine with 200,000btu's but it never hurts to check out what your propane appliances will pull to gauge if this is high enough capacity for your needs.

This system is designed to automatically redirect gas flow from an empty tank to a full tank to eliminate interruptions in the gas flow to your appliances.
