This plugs into your Chevrolet Colorado's wiring harness, which is located beneath the truck bed, near the driver's-side frame rail. It requires no splicing or cutting of wires and connects quickly and easily.

To keep the 4-way secure and safe I recommend the mounting bracket part # 18144.

To prevent moisture and corrosion when making any electrical connections it is always recommended to use a dielectric grease like part # 11755.
