Will a B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Fit a 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 Mega Cab w/Toolbox
Question:
I have a 2008 Dodge 3500 Mega Cab w/Tool Box and BandW Goose neck. I am wandering if either of these hitches will fit, can you give me the measurement from Goose neck hole to front of these hitches and height of front of hitch that wood be closest to tool box.

Expert Reply:
First, if your 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 Mega Cab is a short bed then you would need the slider version, # BWRVK3400-5W. The slider version is 45 inches front to back. So approximately 22-1/2 inches of the hitch would be forward of the center of the gooseneck ball hole.
The overall height is adjustable from 17 to 19 inches. The hitch is going to be several inches forward of the fronts of the wheel wells so it is likely to interfere with any toolbox you would have in place.
If you happen to have a long bed you would use the fixed version, # BWRVK3500, and the measurements would be essentially the same but the height is 16-1/4 to 18-1/4 inches.
