What is Fifth Wheel Towing Capacity of 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 liter Cummins

Question:

Im getting pretty confused on GCVWR and the others. We have a 2006 Dodge 2500 5.9 Diesel SLT quad cab 4x4. 5th Wheel we are looking at has a GVWR or 10995 and a UVW of 8997. The truck has a tow capacity of 13100. So in theory we are good right? But my research online say maybe not? Any help would be appreciated. 5th Wheel is a 2019 Grand Design 28bh for reference. Thanks.

I did some research on your 2006 Dodge 2500 with a Cummins diesel and the towing capacity is 12,859 lbs so your trailer that has a max loaded weight of 10,995 lbs would be within the capacity of the truck and you'd be totally safe.

The Demco Hijacker part # DM8550034 is a really solid choice for a hitch for your truck too since it's a short bed. This hitch automatically slides back as you make tight turns to give you the clearance you need between the nose of the trailer and the cab of the truck. For a rail kit to install it in the bed of your truck you'd need the # DM8552015-71.
