Correct Turning Point Wedge and Soliution for Squeaking Pin Box

Question:

My Fifth Wheel Trailer has a Curt Turning Point Pin Box and I have a Curt A20 hitch in the bed of my 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. The first few times I pulled the trailer I had very little noise when moving but since I have taken my trailer back to the dealer for various reasons they have to remove the wedge to move the trailer around their facility and when they put it back on It gets louder and louder every time I get it back. could it be that they have put the wedge in the wrong location?

It could be that, or you could be using the wrong wedge. If you have the A20 then you should be using the Sidewinder Wedge for Curt A Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # C16992. If you're not try and swap them out and see if that fixes your issue.

If it doesn't then I'd recommend adding some grease, check your bearings, and torque the bolts. This is supposed to be done as part of your yearly maintenance so if you've not done it yet that could also be the reason you're hearing squeaking.
