If you are talking about adjusting the height of your 5th wheel hitch like the Curt A20 # C16140 then you will simply need to move the hitch head to the appropriate adjustment holes (see attached picture). Loosen the nuts on the bolts holding the hitch head in place and then either put them in a higher or lower adjustment hole.
Wear on your tires can be the result of a few different things. Your trailer not being level is definitely one of them. You can also adjust the height of your pin box if you cannot get your trailer level by adjusting the 5th wheel hitch head alone.
You will also want to make sure that your 5th wheel trailer is loaded properly. The pin weight should be between 20-25% and left-to-right weight should be distributed evenly. If your tires are wearing on the inside of outside then that could very well have to do with how the weight is distributed and if you happened to overload that axle or not.
Another thing to check are your tires. All tires need to be the same size and need to be inflated to the psi rating on the tire itself. This is the psi rating given by the tire manufacturer which they have found to be best when they did their testing. A psi rating other than what is specified by the manufacturer will keep the tire from performing properly.
If you are still having trouble after checking your weight, tires, and adjusting the 5th wheel hitch head/pin box, let me know and I can help you troubleshoot further.
