Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution For 450 lb Tongue Weight Trailer
Question:
Will this work for a trailer with a tongue weight of 452 if the Jeeps tongue weight is 350?

Expert Reply:
The Equal-i-zer # EQ37100ET is for trailers with loaded tongue weights between 600 lbs - 1,000 lbs so it would not be a good choice for a 452 lb tongue weight. For that loaded tongue weight go with the 200 lb - 600 lb rated Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37060ET.
This comes with a 2" ball but if your trailer takes a 2-5/16" ball use the 2-5/16" Hitch Ball for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems # EQ54FR.
As for your Jeep if you are saying its hitch has a tongue weight rating of only 350 lbs then you would not use either of these systems as the hitch would not be rated high enough. Also keep in mind the hitch must be rated for use with weight distribution. The highest-rated hitch rated for weight distribution on a 2019 Jeep Wrangler is the 5,000 lb towing/500 lb tongue weight capacity etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98856.
