Availability of Shims or Sleeves to Support Valve Stem with Flow-Through Sensor on Them

Question:

Hi, I have a fifth wheel with 16 inch aluminum wheels. I have a tpms with sensors screwed on the valve stems. I replaced my tires and bought metal valve stems that the nut was too large to fit in the well of the valve stem so I had to go with high pressure rubber stems. My question is: Do they make a shim or a sleeve that slides over the valve stem to take up space so centrifical force won’t stress damage the stem during travel? Thanks!

I haven't heard of any valve stem shims or sleeves to help give more support, but we do have some alternative pressure sensor options depending on what brand TPMS you're currently using.

For example, TST has the Internal Tire Sensor # TST-507-INT-S1 that installs inside the tire by wrapping around the wheel so you don't have to worry about the structural integrity of the valve stem with the flow-through sensor being installed on it.

If you let me know what brand TPMS you have on your 5th wheel I'd be more than happy to see if we have a solution like this for you if you're interested in it!
