Can The Head Of A B&W 5th Wheel Hitch Be Switched From A Sliding Base To A Fixed Base
Question:
I have the BandW Slider. Ive replaced my truck with a long bed. Will my hitch portion fit on top of the fixed companion base? My slider is stuck in the other truck and replacing the base may be the easiest option.

Yes, the hitch head of a B&W Patriot or Companion can be removed from a sliding base and installed on a fixed base. You'll just want to make sure that you choose the correct model for the base. If you have a Patriot # BWRVK3270 (base rail style) then you'll have to go with a Patriot base like part # BWRVB3255. If you have a Companion # BWRVK3400-5W (gooseneck style) then you'll need part # BWRVB3500.
To remove the head you'll just need to pull the pin on each side of the hitch head that connects it to the pivot arms.
