What Issues Can Arise From Switching Your Trailer To Smaller Wheels

Question:

Have a 2020 winnebago 2306BH micro minnie we just got and it has ST205/75R15 tires, would there be an issue if I went to a ST205/75R14 tire, need a little more clearance when getting out of the building?

When lowering the wheel size you'll typically end up lowering the capacity of the wheel and tire so you'll need to make sure that the new wheel/tire is capable of handling the weight of the trailer. Lowering the height will also give you less ground clearance and may require you to get a new ball mount in order to compensate for the drop.

With your trailer having a GVWR of 7k you'd most likely be fine using smaller wheels like the Kenda Karrier ST205/75R14 Radial Tire w/ 14" Series T09 Aluminum Wheel # AM34659 you were looking at but you'll want to verify that this wheel has the correct bolt pattern to fit your hubs.
