How to Attach Hopkins Graduated RV Levels # HM08525 to Leather-like Material in Class C Motorhome

Question:

I have a 2011 29-foot class C. The cabin in a faux leather and the 2 sided tape does not adhere to the leather. I dont want to try a strong adhesive as I do not want to damage the leather should I later want to remove them. Any ideas?

The Hopkins Graduated RV Levels # HM08525 can be mounted either with their self-sticking adhesive backs or by use of screws for semi-permanent installation. Since the self-sticking backs do not adhere to the faux leather fabric in your motor home you might consider using small screws or finish nails to mount them.

It may be possible to make small holes in the fabric that will not be too visible if the levels are removed. You first might try testing this idea in an out-of-the-way location in the motor home.

Depending on the exact nature of the fabric material, its thickness and what is behind it, there may be enough springiness in it to let it rebound after the screw/nail is removed. It may even be possible to use tacks or push-pins that will make only a very tiny hole in the material.
