Good question and yes, your short bed 2011 Ford F-250 Super Duty with the factory prep package is 100 percent compatible with the fixed M5 hitch:

The puck spacing is the same on the long bed and short bed which is why you can use the M5 # RP30921. You made a really nice choice going with the M5 and in no small part due to its Talon jaw system. This is a single-piece jaw system so it will always fully envelop the king pin, greatly reducing how much your king pin moves in the hitch for a more stable and comfortable ride.
