What trailer connector socket is recommended for this hitch? I have a 2004 Silverado 2500HD with a 6 1/2 foot bed?

Since your 2004 Chevy Silverdo has a twist lock 7-way port on the bumper what you would need is the part # HM40920 for a replacement 7-way.
