How to Remove Connector from Vehicle Body to Install the Tow Ready Wiring for a 2009 Volvo SC90
Question:
I have a 2008, Volvo XC90. I cannot get to the connector. I pull on the wires but the connector appears to be fastened to the body of the vehicle behind the panel. How do I get to the connector?

You might need to use a trim panel removal tool like our part # ALL648544 to get the connector disconnected from your vehicle body on your 2009 Volvo XC90. A flathead screwdriver might work as well.
Thats what we had to do to access the connector in the install video I attached for this product.
