Can Trailer Tires Give Out & Cause Sway Over Time
Question:
I have a small travel trailer that has recently started showing signs of swaying at highway speeds at a lane change for example. The tires look fine but can the sidewalls weaken over time? They are about 5 years old without a lot of miles. Thank you.

Expert Reply:
It's possible; even without a lot of miles trailer tires like # AM10256 can wear out over time. Generally about 6 years no matter how many miles the tires have on them it is time to change them as they can wear, but it certainly isn't unheard of for that to happen in 5 or so years. So I do recommend changing them to a fresh set, and I have added a link below to our entire selection of tires for you which you can filter through by size.
