Can Weight Distribution Be Installed on Trailer with 4" x 8" I-Beam Frame
Question:
1 - What is the frame width the chain lift brackets will fit on. 2 - Is there a model that can accommodate an I beam frame 4inch wide x 8inch tall 3 - Are there models with short arms spring bars I only have a gap of 23 to 31 inches from ball center available cross beams prevent a saddle mount elsewhere Numerous manuals say The lift brackets on this system should be located a minimum of 33 inches from the center of the hitch ball

The clamp brackets that come with the Curt Trunnion Style Weight Distribution System # 17302 will only fit up to 2-3/4" wide trailer frames, and there unfortunately isn't' a system that can be used on an I-Beam trailer frame so even with a short-arm version you wouldn't be able to get it installed.
Because of all this, I recommend install suspension enhancement on your tow vehicle and then looking for a sway control alternative. If your tow vehicle is the 2018 Toyota Tundra you have in the fitguide then the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2445 with a simple air compressor like the Air Lift WirelessONE # AL25980 is what I recommend using.
Then for sway control your best bet is the Tuson Asymmetric # 335TSC-1000 which ties into your trailer brakes and lightly applies them to mitigate trailer sway. This system sounds a bit intimidating but Tuson made it pretty simple to install and they have a light system on it that makes it really easy to pinpoint any troubleshooting that may pop up in the future.
