Installing A Fogatti Tankless Water Heater With Existing Wiring
Question:
I have a 2015 grand design solitude and I am replacing my hot water heater. The old hot water heater is a suburban SW 12 DEL and I’m replacing it with a Fogatti 8 pro. There are four wires coming off of the suburban, red, orange, blue and green. The fogatti has two wires. Black is positive White is negative. I know the red wire gets connected to the black wire at least I think, but I don’t know what gets hooked up to the white wire, is it the orange or the green?

There isn't a guide to tell us the functions of the wires in your trailer but there is a way to determine which of those four wires is your power. You'll take a tester like the # PT89ZR or # PTW2993 to each of the four wires to see which one is your 12v power. From there one wire will be your ground and the other two should run to your thermostat. If you pull the thermostat from the wall and check the colors of the wires running to it you should be able to rule out the two thermostat wires on the water heater # LSB44FR end. If not, then you'll need to run a new ground wire and new thermostat wires.
