How to Remove Fuel From A-iPower Portable Inverter Generator
Question:
My sau 2300 will start but lopes. Should the fuel be changed as it hasn’t been run for several months? And if so, how is the best way to empty the fuel tank? Thank you!

According to the manual for the A-iPower 2,300-Watt Portable Inverter Generator 289-SUA2300I you want to drain the fuel for long-term storage so you will want to remove the current fuel and put fresh fuel in the tank. To remove the fuel you need to remove the fuel cap and use a hand siphon, like the TeraPump Manual Fuel Transfer Pump for Gas Cans # TE64VR.
Once you've pumped everything out the engine needs to be ran until it stops and you need to drain the fuel from the carburetor.
To wrap up long term storage prep you need to remove the dipstick and drain the oil, install the cover and tighten the screws, turn the fuel tank cap air vent to "off", and then cover and store the generator in a dry and well-ventilated place.
Be sure to reference the manual for care and maintenance.
