Can the a Surfboard Be Strapped to the Top of a Thule Force XT Roof Box

Can I strap a 9 foot longboard surfboard on top of my Thule Force XT Roof Box?

I can't see why not, honestly. The Thule Force XT XXL Rooftop Cargo Box # TH6359B only measures 90 1/2" long so you'd have a little bit of overhang to compensate for but other than that, as long as it's strapped down safely you should be fine.

Some ratchet straps like # ETBMB-05852 would be smart to use to secure the board to the box, and you'd want to run one over the front and the back of the board.

Your best bet truthfully is to just use a surfboard carrier like the Thule Compass Kayak Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs # TH890000 which is designed to carry things like surfboards, but I can understand an issue with roof space especially used with the Thule box.
