Can 12 Volt Wire Be Used to Test Trailer Brakes
Question:
If purchasing electric brakes... Before installation on trailer, if you want to test brakes, will they activate if you apply a charged 12v jump battery to the brake wire leads? If not, how would you test prior to installation? Thank you!

Yes, if you were to put 12 volts on the brake output circuit you would hear them activate letting you know they are currently working. You should hear a click sound and then a hum as long as the power is on the circuit.
