Recommended Hitch for a 2023 Ford Ranger
Question:
Any differences in the Curt and etrailer hitches for a 2023 Ford Ranger? They look the same and have the same capacities.

The only differences in the Curt Hitch item # C13417 and the etrailer item # e63ZR is the paint finish and the price. Our house brand hitches are made by Curt and manufactured to the same specifications. Both of these hitches are confirmed to fit a 2023 Ford Ranger.
I recommend the etrailer Hitch item # e63ZR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Ford with included hardware. It is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver and has a 6,000 lbs towing capacity. I prefer the etrailer hitches because of the matte black finish. They tend to blend in better beneath a vehicles trim compared to the glossy finishes of the Curt hitches.
I have linked an installation video below so you can see how to get this hitch set up.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C56431 and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
I also recommend using the No-Drill Mount Bracket item # 18136 and the item # C67UR to secure the 7-way connector to your hitch. This will put it in an easy to reach spot and prevent the risk of it falling onto the road.
