Can Redarc Battery Charger be Added to Trailer with Breakaway Battery
Question:
I have an enclosed 14foot trailer and it already has a hopper break away break system on it with a battery backup but I would like to wire the trailer with a auxiliary battery in the trailer for interior LED lights and other things would I wire a junction box before the break system then run a RED96FR inside the trailer to the battery? The trailer sales people are telling me that its not possible to do without replacing the brake control, battery and all wiring

You can definitely do what you are wanting to do with the Redarc In Vehicle BCDC charger part # RED96FR wired to same charge wire that runs to your breakaway battery. Adding a junction box would not be needed.
