We have three different options for base plates depending on what kind of bumper your 2005 Jeep TJ has. If you have the double tube bumper or standard factory bumper you will want the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit item # BX1120. If you have an off-road bumper with flat towing rated d-rings you will need either the 7/8" D-Rings item # BX88357 or the 1" D-Rings item # BX88358 depending on how wide your Jeep's D-Rings are.

The rest of the parts you will need to flat tow your 2005 Jeep TJ are listed below:

Tow Bar and Safety Chains - Blue Ox Alpha 2 Non-Binding Tow Bar item # BX7380

Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267 for a 7-Way connector or item # HM56202 if your RV uses a 4-way connector

Supplemental Braking System - Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System item # HM39524

High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. I have linked a FAQ article that explains all this in more detail along with our selection of adapters.

I have linked several installation videos below to help you get these parts set up. Feel free to email me directly if you have any additional questions.
