What Are The Differences Between The Curt C11396 and C49VV Trailer Hitch Receivers?

I have a 2013 with a curtis hitch and now a 2018 leaf s. What is the real difference between the 2013 curtis 11396 and hitch for the 2018 leaf? This is for the 1 1/4 hitch.

It appears the Curt Receivers # C11396 & # C49VV are the same but utilize different hardware for mounting. I reached out to Curt who verified the CAD drawings for both receivers looked identical with similar measurements. I do recommend holding your current Receiver # C11396 up on your 2018 Nissan Leaf to verify all the hitch holes do line up. If everything is good you can order the Replacement Hardware Kit # RHK for the Receiver # C49VV.
