Recommended Weight Distribution Hitch For Towing a Jayco Jay Feather 21MML Travel Trailer
Question:
I am contemplating the use of a B and W Continuum weight distribution system on a Nissan Armada or Infinity QX80 to tow a Jayco Jayfeather 21mml. I have heard there may be some ground clearance issues for this unit. Is unit something your techs see as a viable solution for connecting this tow vehicle with this travel trailer? If so, is the correct configuration for this combination readily available.

If you choose to use the B&W Continuum Weight Distribution System you will need the Underslung 2" Hitch Kit # BW88FR. The Kit # BW53FR you found while being for an underslung trailer coupler comes with a 2-1/2" shank which will not fit the receiver on either a Nissan Armada or Infiniti QX80.
Personally I do not like the B&W system for both the ground clearance issue and the lack of sway prevention. B&W says by reducing rear end sag it prevents sway which I know is not always the case. Instead I recommend going with the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET. This hitch is rated for 600-1,000lbs of tongue weight and a total weight under 10,000lbs which is where the Jayco Jay Feather 21MML will end up when you have it loaded. The Equal-i-zer has been around for years and continues to be the weight distribution hitch all other brands try to compare themselves to.
