Starting Wattage Of The Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR45PV
Question:
Does this Furrion model # FACR15HESA have a factory installed soft start or would I need to install an aftermarket one to run the AC with a mid sized generator?

Helpful Expert Reply:
I spoke with Furrion and was informed that the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR45PV can pull approximately 3,500 watts for a brief second during start up, which would be right at 29.67 amps. Furrion units do already come with a start capacitor installed in them and we don't currently have a compatible aftermarket start capacitor that's been confirmed to work with these models.
