How to Use a Voyager WiSight Monitor in a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado That Does Not Have a 12v Outlet

Question:

I have a Voyager WiSight on my 2018 Airstream. I just bought a 2023 Chevy Silverado High Country. The monitor on the Voyager uses a male “cigarette style” plug for power. Guess what? The 2023 Chevy does not have a female cigarette style plug. It only has USB plugs. How do I get power to my Voyager screen?

You definitely aren't the first person to encounter this issue. There are a couple potential options to remedy the problem and allow you to use the monitor for your Voyager WiSight camera system.

The first being the 12 Volt Outlet Kit # RM-9332. This kit allows you to wire in a 12v cigarette style outlet where there is not currently one available.

The other option would be the AC to DC Adapter # PP01, which would plug into a 120ac plug to provide the 12v power source needed. This would require that your Silverado has a 120 ac plug. But, most of the newer trucks have this outlet.

If you do not have any other plugs besides the USB ports, you will need to go with the first option.
