Will Dexter Heavy-Duty Suspension Kit Fit a 2014 Winnebago Minnie FB1801FB
Question:
I have a 2014 Winnebago Minnie FB1801FB with a 30inch wheelbase. I installed the Road Armour equalizer new shackles, bolts, springs you name it, the bracket on one of them is cracking. These are not designed to fit a 30inch wheelbase. I tossed out the old equalizer and now I have no way of knowing the length of the proper equalizer I need. The arms on the current equalizer never relaxes, they are always at the 12 Oclock position. I have approximately 3inch between my front and rear tire at the closest point. Will Item # K71-359-00 fit a 30inch wheelbase?

The Dexter Heavy-Duty Suspension Kit for Tandem-Axle Trailers # K71-359-00 is designed for a 33" wheelbase on a trailer but the equalizers are a little smaller than the Road Armor # LC696740 and it comes with 2-1/4" shackles which you can compare to your current setup. It doesn't look like we have any kits designed exactly for a 30" wheelbase, but typically you'll compare the OEM parts to the aftermarket and get dimensions as close to the original as possible.
The issue may be that you have longer leaf springs than you did before in all honesty. From the photos you sent in your spring is really close to the hanger bracket and there is typically a bit more room. Did you measure your leaf spring eye centers while your trailer was loaded or unloaded when you replaced them? We say to measure them with the trailer jacked up by the frame so they are relaxed but some people will measure with them fully loaded and flexed out which can sometimes cause you to get longer springs than necessary.
