Recommendation For Occasionally Carrying Kayaks On a 2017 Ford F-150 Short Bed With Tonneau Cover

Question:

I know that Elevate Rack System TH65FR provides T-slot rails... TH65FR However, I want to install Elevate, or something like it, that is easily removed when not needed, but ALSO remove the slot rail this Im lookin for a stake hole system that mounts and removes easily when not needing the rack system. Only use rack to haul kayaks for instance. Thus want smooth tonneau cover look otherwise like Leer 650 for instance. OR use Elevate system or something like it with a stake hole side rail that has slots to accommodate then leave the side rails prefer chrome/stainless for customer look when not using the rack..... Anyone make anything like that? Seen Putco has a rail, but dont know if the elevate with fit on it. so complicated to figure out....

The Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack # A4000964 is going to be one of the easiest ladder rack systems to completely remove from your 2017 Ford F-150 with the 5-1/2' bed and a tonneau cover. It attaches though the stake pockets unlike the Truxedo TS Rails # TH65FR which mount behind the tonneau cover rails.

I do have another recommendation in the Yakima LongArm Bed and Roof Load Extender # Y01149-1150. You could use this along with the Lomax Hard Tonneau Cover # LOM97FR. Then you can also use the Putco Locker Truck Bed Side Rails # P89867 to secure a kayak using the Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs # MPG152. This would be much easier to remove than a ladder rack while also making it much easier to load and unload the kayaks.
