The answer to that question is mainly going to be determined by how tall the coupler is on your trailer. You're going to want to line up your trailer's coupler and the hitch ball as close to the same height as possible. Or at least within a couple of inches.
The top of the 2" receiver for the Curt Hitch item # 13591 you were looking sits 15" above the ground when mounted on a 2007 Equinox. If you were to use the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534, that would put the 2" hitch ball at either 13" in the drop position or almost 16" in the rise position.
I have linked a diagram below that will give you a visual representation of what I am talking about. If you have any additional questions please feel free to email me back. If your trailer's couple is way off from the ball mount I recommend go ahead and email me back with the height of your couple and I would be happy to find the right one for you.
I strongly recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.
