Is there a recommended torque setting in foot pounds for tightening the hitch pin?

There is no specific torque setting for the Locking Anti-Rattle, Threaded Hitch Pin # S64027. You can use the wrench that came with your Swagman bike rack or your own to tighten this down. Use your best judgement and make sure it is secure. As long as you are just using your arms and not laying into it there won't be a problem.
