Why Doesn't etrailer License Plate Mounting Bracket # e98944 Remove Easily
Question:
Is there a solution to quickly or easily move the license plate from the cargo carrier back onto the vehicle? On our road trip travels we sometimes remove the cargo carrier, for example, if we are staying for several days in one spot.

The reason you don't want your license plate to be easily removable is because then it would be easier to steal which wouldn't be great. That's why the etrailer License Plate Mounting Brackets part # e98944 was not designed for a quick install and removal and you would need to use tools.
