Recommended Bike Rack for 2 Cruiser Bikes On a 2016 Tiffin Allegro Motorhome
Question:
We have a 2016 tiffin 36LA and are wondering if this bike rack would be a good rack for it. We had a saris bike rack and it broke under the pressure of bouncing on the rear of the coach. We have 2 cruiser bikes and the handlebars would sometimes rub on the rear of the coach when hitting larger bumps. Hoping this rack would work a little better than the saris. Thanks in advance for any help with this matter.

The Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack # C18085 is actually not motorhome rated so eventually the same thing that happened to your Saris would happen to this one.
Instead, I was able to find the Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # S64670 which is pretty similar to the Curt you were looking at but this rack can be used on motorhomes.
This bike rack will work with the same 1-1/4" and 2" trailer hitches the Curt works with, has a comparable weight capacity of 35 lbs per bike for a 70 lb total, and can be folded up completely when not in use.
