Can 2017 Lincoln Continental Tow a Trailer
Question:
Can you tow with a 2017 Lincoln continental reserve fwd. Debating if it’s a smart idea to have hitch installed to haul dirt bike on carrier and possibly a 5x8 enclosed trailor some times

According to the Ford Towing Guide, your 2017 Lincoln Continental Reserve can tow up to 1,000 lbs assuming you have the 3.0L GTDI V6 or the 3.7L Ti-VCT V6. If you have the 2.0L GTDI I4 engine you will not be able to tow. You will need to check your owner's manual to verify this information.
The Curt # C12182 is the only hitch available for your vehicle. It may have a 350 lb tongue weight and 3,500 lb max trailer weight capacity, but you're still limited by the capacity of your vehicle. Between the weight of a carrier and the dirt bike itself you probably won't be hauling a dirt bike around.
Depending on the weight of the trailer and the cargo you want to add it is certainly possible to do this as long as you don't go over 1,000 lbs. Realistically this is not a vehicle made with towing in mind, but if it is the only option you have and is able to tow the trailer you need you certainly can.
To tow a trailer you would also need the # 118682 for wiring. This will provide you with a 4-way to power your trailer's signal lights. For a ball mount, check out the Draw-Tite # 36065 along with # C40018 for a 2" ball or # 19256 for a 1-7/8" ball.
