Can Curt Deep Drop Adjustable 2-Ball Mount be Used as Weight Distribution Shank
Question:
I am hoping to get the width of the portion of the shank, as I would like to mount my existing Reese WDH to it, since Reese no longer offers a 2.5 shank. Could you also let me know the hole spacing on this hitch? Thank you. C89NR

Expert Reply:
The width is 2-1/2 inches, the hole spacing is 1-1/4 inches, and you can 100% use the Curt Deep Drop Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # C89NR as a weight distribution shank.
The reason for that is because the shank that comes with the # C89NR is the Curt Weight Distribution Shank for 2-1/2" Hitches # C17132.
Weight distribution shanks are interchangeable as well, so you can definitely use this with your Reese weight distribution hitch.
