At this point all Atwood water heaters are discontinued and out of stock so you'd have to switch to a different option like the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR48SR. Since water heaters have gotten much smaller in size (12-5/8" wide x 12-5/8" tall x 19-1/4" deep) versus the GC10A-4E's 16" wide x 15-1/2" tall x 21" deep dimensions you'll have to frame in the cutout hole a bit to install a new water heater. It doesn't have to be fancy since you'll be covering it all up with the access door. The excess gaps can be covered with some plywood on the inside of the compartment.

All the work will be worth it though for the drastically increased performance. This unit has a BTU range of 13,000 to 60,000 BTU's, whereas the GC10A-4E has a BTU rating of 8,800 BTU's. This system is also tankless so you won't have to deal with the maintenance issues that typically come along with tanks or be as limited in the gallons of hot water produced per hour. This unit offers up to 144 gallons of on demand hot water per hour.

When installing the unit and access door you'll want to use butyl tape # AL28FJ on the mounting flanges as well as non-sag sealant # 344270341437-1 around the outer edge of the access door for a waterproof seal.
