Why Isn't a Specific Blue Ox Base Plate Kit Available and What Other Kit Can Be Used

The Blue Ox BX1136 base plates are no longer available. They went inactive on our site when we ran out of our stock of them. They are supposed to be replaced by a new model, but they are not yet available.
Currently, for your 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk you can use the etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit # e98952 which is compatible with all etrailer, Demco, and Blue Ox tow bars.
Other parts needed for flat towing would be a tow bar, safety cables, tow bar wiring and a supplemental braking system.
Tow Bar: Blue Ox Alpha 2 Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7380 (includes the needed safety cables)
Tow Bar Wiring: Jeep issued a tech note stating to use 68321424AB wiring. This can be sourced from your local Jeep dealership.
Supplemental Braking System: Blue Ox Patriot Radio Frequency, Portable Braking System # BLU37TR
