Recommended Gooseneck Hitch for a 2023 Chevy Silverado 3500
Question:
I have a 2023 Silverado 3500 with the short bed and I am looking for a gooseneck hitch. I do not have the prep package from the factory because they were backordered. I'd like something that leaves my bed open.

To add a gooseneck hitch to your 2023 Chevy 3500, I recommend the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch item # BWGNRK1020. This kit includes custom brackets that mount in preexisting holes in your trucks frame. This system has a 30,000 lbs capacity and includes a 2-5/16" gooseneck ball that can be flipped over and stored inside the hitch. It will fit both the 8' bed and the 6-3/4' bed lengths without the OEM puck system.
I have linked an installation video below that will help you get this system set up.
To make towing with a 5th wheel easier I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness item # C58FV. This harness puts a 7-way connector and a 4-way connector in the bed of your truck and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your 5th wheel trailer easier and more convenient.
