Can You Install Just Two Lock Cylinders On Thule Canyon Basket XT TH859XT?

Hello I am installing the Thule Canyon Basket XT on my 2014 Rav4. To cut down on costs, could I just in stall one or two of the locking cylinders on it. Or do I need to install it on all four brackets? Thanks!

Yes, you could just install one or two of the locking cylinders on the Thule Canyon Basket XT # TH859XT you were looking at installing.

I'd do at least two, one on each side of the rack, and use the kit # TH450200. Also write down your key number so that if you choose to add the other two cylinders in the future, you can add ones that will share the same key.

You could also just not install the lock cylinders at all for now, but then there's nothing locking it to your crossbars.
