Recommended Spare Tire Carrier For a 1972 Shasta 1400 Travel Trailer

I want to purchase a spare tire mount bumper for my 1972 Shasta 1400. I am not sure which model to purchase. The camper itself sits very low about 10.5 inches from ground to the bottom of the bumper. I do not know whether the standard or the mini-rv size would be better. I do not need it to fold up or down. Can you help me? Thanks!

I recommend using the Bumper Mounted Tire Carrier # TR-1 on your 1972 Shasta 1400. With the low ground clearance of your Shasta using a shorter mount like the Brophy # BR56VR would cause the tire to sit lower on the bumper and could lead to issues with the departure angle.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
