Replacement Axle Option For a 1996 Dutchmen 1204 Pop Up Camper With Torsion Axle

Question:

Hi, I’m needing to replace the torsion axle on my 1996 Dutchmen 1204. Can you help me determine which axle I should get? Are they standard, or do I have to do some measurements to get the right one? Thanks

For you 1996 Dutchmen 1204 we will only carry an axle system like the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # A35RS545. We do not carry torsion axles at this time. To determine if this can be used on your camper you will need to measure the distance from the hub face to the outside of the frame along with the height of the axle center line from the bottom of the frame. This particular system has a hub face that will sit 6" from the frame with an axle centerline 3-13/16" below the frame with no weight on the suspension. The suspension will compress 1-3/4" bringing you down to 2-1/16" when compressed. Please let me know if you find you have different measurements and this system is not compatible.
