We have the Mighty Cord RV Power Cord Adapter Plug # A10-5030DAVP which will allow you to plug into a 50 amp power post and connect to a 30 amp twist lock connector. If you are not able to use the straight connection you will want the Mighty Cord RV Power Cord Adapter # A10-5030FHVP with the Adapter Plug # A10-3030DAVP. Be sure to use Dielectric Grease # 11755 with the connections to help prevent them from shorts and corrosion.

You are correct. When Item #A10-5030AVP is used for 50 am service, the connector will provide 240 volts. When used for 30 amp service it will only provide 120 volts. So the volts do change by essentially not using one of the hot pins.
