How to Determine Correct Weight Rating for a 2021 Chevy Blazer 3.6L V6
Question:
I have a 2021 Chevy blazer with the 3.6 V6. I am seeing different things about the towing capacity. Can you tell me if its 4500 or 1500 pounds? Or tell me how I can find out?

The standard 2021 Chevy Blazer 3.6L V6 is rated for 1,500 lbs towing. The only way you can have the higher 4,500 lbs towing capacity is if you have the FWD with VR2 or the AWD with V92 option. If you aren't sure on that then your best bet is to reach out to your local Chevy dealer with your VIN to see exactly what you have on your vehicle.
I got the towing information from the online owner's manual from the Chevy site.
If you don't already have the parts needed to tow a trailer then I recommend the following:
- Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76023
- Wiring Kit # 118720 for 4-Way (bracket # BK4F)
- Wiring Kit # 118276 for 7-Way (bracket # PK12711U)
- B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount # BWTS10048B
